Chassidy Marie Martin, age 41 of Ashley, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing. Chassidy was born in St. Johns on June 3, 1983, the daughter of Rex and Robin (Rademacher) Martin. Chassidy loved life. She enjoyed the outdoors, spending time hunting and fishing. She loved people, and could always be found doing something to help others in need. She would adopt families at Christmas, or cook meals and provide other items when they were experiencing difficulties. She was always supporting the school and the community, involving herself with PTO. She loved making craft items. Above all, she loved her family most.
Chassidy is survived by Mark Crumbaugh, Jr; her son, Blaze Crumbaugh; her step-children, Adreanna Crumbaugh, Rebecca Crumbaugh, and Trent Crumbaugh, all of Ashley; her brother Jeremy (Samantha) Martin of Elsie and their daughter, Natalie: her grandmothers, Sharon Taylor of Ovid and Clarice (Bill) Swanchara of Sugar Springs; and her best friend, Alisha Peters of Elsie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rex Martin and Robin Martin Harnick; her grandfather, Robert Taylor; and her nephew, Talan Jones.
Chassidy’s family is being served by the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.bardenfuneralhome.com. No services are scheduled at this time.
