Hannah Audrey Rivard

Hannah Audrey Rivard passed away suddenly from an automobile accident on October 14, 2015.

Hannah was born September 16, 1999 in Carson City to Jill Weaver Rivard and Jason Rivard. She lived in Ithaca and attended St. Louis Schools until she transferred to Alma High School her freshman year.  Hannah was working at JJ Ruby’s while attending high school and, through dual enrollment, was pursuing a degree in child psychology at Alma College. Hannah was very passionate and expressionistic when it came to her dance, which she began at the age of three at DuHadway Dance Dimensions, including being part of the Elite Competition Team, where she made many lifelong friends and family connections. She loved people and was always first to make sure everyone was fine.  Hannah had one of the biggest hearts and made people laugh with her contagious laughter and smile. Hannah enjoyed her “family time”, especially snowmobiling with Papa, cooking with Grammie, sharing her love of dance with Papa Jerry and Grandma Cheryl, having dinner with Uncle Bill and Uncle Mandy, and modeling for her cousin Julie to photograph. One of her all-time favorite pastimes was going to the beach with her mom and Holli and instantly bursting into the same song at the same time with her sister.

Hannah is survived by her mother, Jill Weaver Rivard of Ithaca; father, Jason Rivard of Riverside, California; sister Holli Rivard of Ithaca; grandparents Russell and Brenda Weaver of Ithaca; grandparents Gerald and Cheryl Rivard of Mears; great grandpa and grandma Leiter of Ithaca; great grandpa and grandma Rivard of Bay City; Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Jeff Battaglia of Midland; Uncle Scott and Aunt Staci Leslie of Merritt; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Hannah was preceded in death by her aunt Jennie Leslie Baker and her Meme’ Debora Peloquin Weaver.

A celebration of Hannah’s life will be held at 4pm, Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Church of Christ in St. Louis with Pastor Phil Maxwell officiating. Visitation will be held from 2pm until the time of the service at 4pm Saturday, October 17, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hannah’s family.
