My parents, Delbert and Betty Wolfe, and my brother and sister and myself lived next door to your great-
grandma and your grandma Alice on Elm Street. Though I didn't know your Ellen well, the times I talked to her she always had a kind word and a smile on her face. A very gentle, soft-spoken person. I am sorry for your loss. I have lost both of my parents in the last 10 months. The pain will never go away, but it will lessen. Remember all of the good times with your mom and grandma. My prayers and thoughts go out to you.

So very sorry to all Ellen's family. Ellen was my 'Online' friend, I had never met her personally but we spent many hours chatting, laughing and putting the world to rights. To me, she was a real friend and my tears are not virtual ones I will miss her.

Lloyd, We get the Gratiot County Herald here in Arizona and were shocked to see that Ellen had passed. We have been talking via Facebook and had no idea that she was ill. We are so very sorry for your loss. Bob has pleasant memories of skating with Ellen at the rink in St. Louis. I met her through Bob and have enjoyed our jokes and emails. Just know that you and your children are in our thoughts and prayers and that she is now resting in the arms of our Lord and Saviour. My Mom passed last summer and I know that the pain does not go away easily, but it is a comfort to know that there are people who understand and care. Best wishes to you and yours.

Ellen and I have been friends since second grade in Ithaca, Michigan. She and I would walk to school together. This was when all of the Ithaca schools were in the two-story brick building that no longer exists. It has been several years since we saw each other, but we did keep in touch.
