Robert Claire Mepham

Robert Claire Mepham age 84 went home to be with his Lord on January 20, 2020.

He was born December 8, 1935 the son of Elton (Friday) Mepham and Rita (Weaver) Mepham in Ithaca Michigan.

He married Doris Irene Becker in 1955 and they had four sons, Larry (Cris), Jeffrey, Kevin (Lori), and Robert Jr.

Bob worked many jobs throughout his life.  As a boy he made early morning milk deliveries until adulthood. After that he worked for Kroger as a meat cutter and eventually started Bobs Family Market in downtown Ithaca. When the store closed he was hired at Lobdells in Alma but soon began to sell real estate which led him to open Mepham Realty as broker and owner.

Bob enjoyed life and pursued many new endeavors. At some point he began to buy fixer uppers and remodel houses to rent and sell.   This eventually led him to build his own home. Woodworking and building furniture and crafts was also a hobby that he pursued and enjoyed.

He also loved to travel with his wife and friends on their Harley Davison motorcycles and in later years he and Doris went on many cruises. 

He loved the Lord and loved to talk about Jesus and Bible prophecy. His great passion and desire was that his family and friends would come to know Jesus and follow Him too.

He is survived by his three sons, thirteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife Doris, Grandson Hunter, son Robert Jr., Brother Gail, and sister, Janet Wagner.

Visitation and funeral will be at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca, Michigan on Saturday, January 25th, 2020.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with funeral following at 1:00.  Pastor Larry Mepham officiating.

Calvin Myrle Hansen

Calvin M. Hansen, age 80, of Sheridan, died peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2020, at his home, with his family by his side.

Calvin was born in Sheridan on August 16, 1939, the son of Myrle C. and Helen (Hall) Hansen.  He married Nancy Lou Ruedger.  He worked at Electrolux for almost 40 years.  He loved deer hunting and fishing, and camping at Luzerne and Vanderbilt.  He was very social, and thoroughly enjoyed talking to people.

Calvin is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy Lou; his children, Robin (Dan) O’Green of Gowen, Tim Hansen of Sheridan, and Cindy (Larry) Turner of Crystal; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great grandsons.  He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Monday, January 20, at the Barden Funeral Home in Stanton, with Pastor Ried Martin officiating.  Visitation will be from Noon until the time of the service.

Howard Ringle

Howard Ringle, age 89 of Ithaca, passed away December 30, 2019 at home with his family.

Howard was born December 19, 1930 to Ernest and Gladys (Simpson) Ringle in Ithaca. He married Irma Jean Duffy September 24, 1949 and enjoyed 60 years together until she preceded him in death February 18, 2010.

Howard worked at Ashley Elevator and was a farmer. He enjoyed playing softball, fishing, mushrooming, woodworking, and being outdoors. He was a lifelong resident of Hamilton Township

Howard is survived by two daughters, Judy (Roger) Sherman and Deb (Mike) Polash; one son, William Ringle and daughter-in-law Rhonda (Ester) Ringle; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Irma Jean Ringle (Duffy), his parents Ernest and Gladys (Simpson) Ringle, one son, two daughters, three brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services for Howard will be 11am Monday, January 6, 2020 at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca. Pastor Jeff Reser will officiate and burial will follow at North Star Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8pm Sunday, January 5, at the funeral home. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.bardenfuneralhome.com.

The family would like to especially thank all of Sparrow Hospice staff for their support. They were wonderful during their time of need.

Fannie E. Tait

Fannie E. Tait, age 97, died Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont, Michigan.

Fannie was born on January 2, 1922 in Fulton Township, Michigan, the daughter of David Benjamin and Maude Lillian (Gibbs) Iler.  She married Willis Tait on August 6, 1938.  Willis preceded her in death on August 26, 1990.

She loved fishing, especially in the Maple River.  She also enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, bird watching, Knitting hats for all of her family, and going for rides in the country.

She is survived by her daughter Merilynne Kimmel of Eagle River, Alaska; two sons William (Sandra) Tait of Hasting and Jeff Tait of Newaygo; 12 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis; her daughter, Myrna Perrin; her grandson, Timothy Allen Meehan; two great grandchildren, Cassie Perrin and Angelica Tait; her brothers Virgil, Elton, Robert, Denny, Gordon, Durwood, and Dale and her sister Gloria June Lee.

Fannie’s services are scheduled for Monday, December 23, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca, with Pastor Dave Perry officiating.  Burial will be in the Fulton Center Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Monday from 12:00 to time of service.  Condolences may be left for the family online at www.bardenfuneralhome.com.

Enam Denall Dudley

On the morning of Friday, December 13, 2019, Enam Denall Dudley, 14 months, of Saginaw, MI peacefully passed away in the presence of the earthly being who loved him most -- his mother. 

Born in the covenant October 2, 2018 to parents Marc and Sonya (Hiller) Dudley, Enam, touched many lives during his 438 days on earth. Although he fought through complex health issues, he was a generally happy baby. He loved people, spa time with his Gram, books and music. Enam shared a special relationship with each of his seven siblings and both of his Grandmothers. His presence strengthened the already strong bonds of his family members as they came together to help him with his daily activities, exercises, feedings and other medical care. He in turn blessed his family with a contagious type of love and affection. 

Enam is survived by his parents Marc and Sonya Dudley; five sisters Kaiyana, Indigo, Azaylia, Wisdom and Brooklyn Dudley; and two brothers Majestik and Solomon Dudley all of Saginaw, MI; Grandparents Patricia Hiller of Lansing, MI, Fred (Irene) Hiller Sr. of Holt, MI; Dolores Dudley of Saginaw, MI, and Norman (Barbara) Dudley Jr. of Gilbert, AZ.; two Aunts Jacquelyn Dudley and Karyn Dudley of West Valley City, UT; and two Uncles Fred Hiller Jr. (Veronica) of San Antonio, TX and Eric (Cassie) Dudley of Farmington, UT. 

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm December 20, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1415 N. Center Rd., Saginaw, MI 48638. Visitation will be from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
