Brion D. Ruehle

Brion D. Ruehle went to sleep in Christ on December 15, 2021. Brion was a 1975 Ithaca High School Graduate and an avid and passionate outdoorsman and orchard culturist.

Brion married his high school sweetheart and soulmate Diana (Fell) Ruehle in 1977. He was “Hero” to his two precious daughters Cortney Ruehle and Teela Ruehle. Brion worked at General Motors for 32 years while he and his wife farmed the Ruehle Centennial Farm part-time.

Brion is survived by his wife Diana Ruehle; his daughters Cortney and Teela Ruehle; grandchild Ellie Pratt; and his sisters, Brenda (Dewayne) Marcy and Bonnie (Tim) Gustavison. He was preceded in death by his parents Romaine and Adah Ruehle and his brother Brent Ruehle.

The family will gather for a memorial to Brion’s life with friends at 1pm on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the north end of Ithaca Cemetery. In honor of Brion, memorial contributions may be given to American Forests (https://give.americanforests.org/ways-to-give/memorial-gift-trees/).

The Ruehle family would like to thank all of the medical personnel and the Barden Funeral Home for their assistance during this difficult time. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.bardenfuneralhome.com.

I am extremely sorry for your loss Aunt Dee, Courtney and Teela. I have many fond memories of my Uncle Brion, he used to take us through the Ithaca Park in his old black truck when we were little and gave us stomach willies with how fast he would go. I also remember how kind he was to my older children while we were living next to you all in the old farmhouse. I also know how kind he had been to my grandchild that lived next to him, he loves tractors. And thank you for helping out Kaelin and Janessa when it was needed. I pray for peace and comfort for your family. You all are in my thoughts and my prayers. Rest In Peace🙏🏼
