Sharon M. Kent

Sharon M. Kent, 68 of Sheridan passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in Greenville.

Sharon was born on July 20, 1943 in Sheridan to Myrle and Helen (Hall) Hansen. She was a lifetime area resident who loved to socialize, go camping, watch birds, and do puzzles. Her greatest joy was her family and especially watching her grandchildren’s school programs and sporting events. Sharon was an active and kind person with a good sense of humor. The twinkle in her eyes will be missed by many.

Sharon is survived by her children, Lesia Daniels of Stanton, Greg and Patti Kent of Sheridan, and Carrie and Sam Abbott of Alto; her grandchildren, Coty Kent, Brett and Evan Daniels, Taylor Leland, Danielle and Ethan Kent; her sisters, Helen and Cary Dukes of Stanton, Jennie and Leo Linebaugh of Greenville; her brothers, Calvin and Nancy Hansen and “Butch” and Marylou Hansen of Sheridan; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Sharon’s family will greet friends from 2 -4 on Friday, September 30th at the Barden Funeral Home in Stanton. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Barden Funeral Home. Pastor Bernard Loew from Sidney Christian Church will officiate; burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
