Eugene Rutherford

March 27, 1941 – January 12, 2010

Eugene Rutherford, age 68, of Alma passed away at St Mary's Hospital in Saginaw on Tuesday, January 12, 2010.

Eugene was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1958 – 1962. He worked for Alma Concrete until he retired in 2006. Eugene was also member of the Moose Lodge, and loved playing his guitar, hunting and spending time at his cabin in Harrison.

Eugene is survived by his stepchildren: Theresa Pike of Sandusky, Suzie (Kevin) Lupo of Kalkaska,
Chris Salsbury of Alma, Cindy (Keith) Porter and Joey Earegood of St Louis. Sisters Geneva (Lester) Foster of Ithaca, Ruth (Bernard) Gager of Alma, Pearl (Ron) McKellar and Mary (Bob) Watson of St Louis.

Brothers Lewis (Lorelie) Rutherford of Alma and John (Sheryl) Rutherford of St Louis, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Rebecca Rutherford, his sisters Edith ( Joe ) Simonovic, Helen Rutherford and brothers Ray (Marvel) Rutherford and Boss Rutherford.

A memorial services will be held Saturday, January 23, 2010 at the First Church of God, 520 Olive Rd, St Louis at 11 AM, with Pastor Sam Dunbar officiating.

The family is being served by the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca.
