Gregory Paul “Rusty” “Tex” Stoner, Jr.

Gregory Paul Stoner, Jr., also known as Rusty or Tex, age 41, of Wyoming, MI, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016.  

Rusty was born June 28, 1974,in Carson City, the son of Gregory Paul and Jill Ellen (Townsend) Stoner.  

Rusty loved to watch NASCAR and support his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt.  He was also a fan of football, rooting for Michigan.  He was mechanical and loved to tinker, and with a sense of compassion always had time to help someone if they needed a hand or something fixed.

Rusty is survived by his parents, Greg and Jill Stoner of Wyoming, MI; his sister, Jodi Vandenhout of Wyoming, MI; his nephew TJ Vandenhout; his grandmother, Bernice Townsend of Newberry, MI; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, January 25, at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca.  Interment will follow in Payne Cemetery, Middleton, MI.  Visitation will be 11 a.m. Monday until the time of the funeral service.

Tex was a true friend that would of have given you the shirt of his back. I miss his laugh. He had a deep faith in the Lord and I know his soul is happy and enjoying life in heaven above.
