Duane L. White, age 87, of Ithaca, died Friday, September 18, 2015, at Mid-Michigan Hospital in Midland.
Duane was born April 1, 1928, in Emerson Township, near Beebe, the son of Pearl U. V. Yarnell. He married Janet Marie Boyer on July 30, 1955..
Duane farmed in Newark Township for 30 years and also worked for Shultz Equipment for 30 years, retiring in 1990. He really enjoyed his work on the farm, as well as the people and work at Shultz Equipment. He loved being outside, and would go out hunting, though he seldom got anything. Duane and Janet loved to go snowmobiling together in the winter. His cats were special to him.
Duane is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janet; his sisters, Geraldine Dancer and Martha Dalton; his brother, Maynard Danks; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, September 25, at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca, with Jo Jones officiating. There will be a luncheon following at the Ithaca Senior Activity Building. Interment will be in Ithaca Cemetery.
