Jarmila Anna Hlavaty, entered eternal life on December 3, 2021 at the age of 98. Jarmila grew up in Dearborn, MI and graduated from Fordson High School in January 1942. She met her husband, Victor, at the Sokol Club in Dearborn. They were happily married for 51 years. They raised five children in Royal Oak and enjoyed many happy retirement years on Harsens Island. Jarmila was a homemaker who enjoyed all aspects of raising her family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Mark Hlavaty, son, Ray (Sue) Hlavaty, daughter, Alice (Roger) Betz, and daughter, Sue (Randy) Meier; daughter in law, Ann (Rob) Naubert; her grandchildren, Bryan Hlavaty, Megan (Alex) Calderon, Erin (Aaron) Giannoni, Melanie Betz (Eric Haggett), Christopher Betz, Sara (Mike) Farwig, Rebecca (Tyler) Przywara, Matthew Meier, Michael Meier, and Mac Meier; her great grandchildren, Gabriela Calderon, Camila Calderon, Mariana Calderon, Alayna Farwig, Michael Farwig, and Remi Przywara.
Jarmila was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor; brother, Benjamin; and son, Kenneth.
As per her wishes, Jarmila will be cremated and a memorial service will take place on Harsens Island this summer.
