I have such great memories of his Fulton Schools 7th grade class (45 years ago!) He was a great teacher; he was a good sport; and was a lot of fun. I sliced open my hand cutting potatoes with a scalpel in his class....right after he told us to not cut our hand using the scalpel!........have the scar to prove it! Lol Learned how to use a black room. Learned a lot of cool stuff in his class! (Flying model rockets, for one!)

Remember his paddle with holes in it? Remember his fish tank?

That was a fun school year.

Rest In Peace, Mr. Hollenbeck! One of my favorite teachers of all time!! You made some great memories for me. That classroom has long been torn down! (As has the school, now that I think about it!)

Dear Verna and family,

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My father certainlly cherished his friendship with L.D. I know they breakfasted many Saturday mornings and built lasting memories with Lions Club and political endeavors. I'm sure they are rekindling their friendship. God bless you as you cherish sweet memories.

Mr Hollanbeck was my 7th grade teacher i had a mouse for my project. It bit him and me. He had to have the State Police come to pick it up and test it for rabies. Luckily we fed him too much salt from salted sun flower seeds! Then later in my Junior year He asked one day whose Red Impala Convertible that was in the parking lot. I said it was my Dads. He said that he admired the car and if my Dad wanted to sell it to let him know. Haha it was the only time my dad let me drive to school! He was always a fair teacher!

My heartfelt sympathy to you all!!

Heather, I'm so sorry for the loss of your Dad. He was a great man, one of the best teachers the students could have. I learned a lot from him. I won't go into everything i could say about him, it would take too long. We talked about him at Cartridges one day and i told you a lot of it. He will be missed by a lot of his students and remain forever in our hearts. Please tell your family that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
