Helen A. Dukes

Helen Arberta Dukes, age 69, of Stanton, died suddenly on Sunday, April 21, 2019.

Helen was born January 20, 1950, in Sheridan, the daughter of Myrle C. and Helen (Hall) Hansen.  She was married to Cary R. Dukes.  She loved God and would tell everyone she met.  What she loved almost as much as God though, was her grandkids.  She enjoyed having them all together.  She had one great granddaughter, Kelsie, who was especially dearest to her heart.  She loved spending time with her husband, Cary, and the two of them would get away together whenever they could.  She enjoyed seeing the pictures of the successes of her children and grandchildren, whether it be hunting or fishing, she always wanted a picture.

Helen is survived by her husband, Cary; her three sons, Bruce (Tonya) Daggett, Matt (Jennifer) Daggett, and Shane (Trisha) Daggett; her grandchildren, Jordan Krause, Kyle Daggett (fiancé Kendra Zuidewind), Caleb Daggett (fiancé Kori Post), Matthew Daggett II, Zachery Daggett, Courtney Daggett, Kala Daggett, Aaron Daggett, and Leona Lake (and great grandchild to be); her great granddaughter, Kelsie Daggett; and her sisters and brothers, Jennie (Leo) Linebaugh, Calvin (Nancy) Hansen, Lilly (Bill) Payette, Kim (Todd) Erven, Jennie (Jim) Anderson, Becky (Mike) Neitzel, and Rhonda (Rick) Wabish.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Myrle and Helen Hansen; her brothers, Thorval (Butch), Donald and Alfred; and her sisters, Alice, Sharon, Leona, and Shirley.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 25, at the Barden Funeral Home in Stanton.  Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at Barden Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.  Condolences may be left for the family online at www.bardenfuneralhome.com.

I am sorry to hear of Helen’s passing. She was always full of class and a smile. A great waitress at the VFW and the last time our family was there was for my birthday and Helen was taking our orders and found out it was my birthday and she and another waitress sang Happy Birthday to me!!! She was looking forward to her new pool because Cary was known for napping in their old pool.Thinking of your family at this difficult time.

Cary & family I am so sorry for the loss of Helen. She was a beautiful woman both inside and out. She would help anyone in need with such a pure heart. The world will be a bit dimmer without her smile. I will cherish the memories. Rest In Peace my dear friend.

It was heartbreaking to hear about Helen. I was just casually acquainted with her, through my job at Blanchard's. I loved the short little visits we had. She was always smiling and always so kind. She was a class act. Very special lady. So grateful our paths crossed. Your loss of this special woman must be unbearable. My deepest condolences to her family.

Dear Cary & Family,
We are so sorry to hear about Helen! We all loved her so much! She was always sharing beautiful Spiritual messages to all of her family and friends! She loved Jesus! She would wake up ready to serve her Lord! My heart aches for you all knowing she won’t be here on earth anymore! She is in a great place, (if we can only imagine) so that gives us comfort knowing this, but still it’s hard for all of us she left behind! Hold onto those memories, and for your hurting hearts give it to God! God knows all, and even though we don’t understand why good people need to leave so soon, God knows and someday we will know too! Right now God needed her more, and she was called to go home to her heavenly home! We love you all, and pray God gives you comfort through this sad sad time! Big Hugs & lots of prayers, Love, Vicky & Verl🙏❤️
