Eddie Alonzo Kinkead
Eddie A. Kinkead, age 73, of rural Alma, died Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing, with his family at his side.
Eddie was born in Levering, MI, on January 22, 1942, the son of Ernest Glenn and Garnet Elizabeth (Smith) Kinkead. He graduated from Ithaca High School in 1960 and served in the Army combat engineers from 1961 until 1964. He then worked in Lansing at Diamond Reo for 10 years and then for GM for over 27. He enjoyed tinkering in his barn and collecting things, but especially loved working on his 1939 truck.
Eddie is survived by his children, Michelle (Jason) Whitman of Bath, Scott (Jennifer) Kinkead of Lansing, and Stacy Kinkead of Alma; two grandchildren Jacob Whitman and Delaney Whitman; five furry grandkids, Bandit, Colby, Pepper, Tootsie, and Sadie; and his brothers and sister, Glenn (Arlene) Kinkead of Ashley, Larry Kinkead of Ithaca, Doug Kinkead of Ithaca, and Betty (Winston) Miller of Louisville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Christine Kinkead and Rose Davis; and brothers, David and Sam.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, at the Barden Funeral Home in Ithaca, with Pastor Dave Perry officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing, or to U of M Cancer Center.

My sister, Dottie and I were classmates of Edd, graduating from Ithaca High School in the class of 1960. May God bless and comfort you.
