Michael Duane Farrell, Sr., age 70, of Langston, died suddenly on Friday, December 12, 2014.
Michael was born July 3, 1944, in Grand Rapids, the son of Gerald Raymond and Barbara Jean (Smith) Farrell. He worked at Electrolux for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed the outdoors and going hunting and fishing. But he really loved people. He was a real joker, and you never saw him without a beautiful smile. He was a dependable hard worker who loved to help others and would do anything for someone in need.
Michael is survived by his children, Samantha Voyles of Texas, Patricia Seymour of Texas, Misty Ladere of Shelbyville, Michael Farrell, Jr. of Wayland, Dusty Farrell of Wayland, and Geraldme Farrell of Langston; his brothers and sisters, Kim, Jerry, Tim, and Cheryl Farrell; and his companion of 28 years Mary Parcher.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 19, at Riverside Cemetery in Langston, with Pastor Bob Oliveira from the Cowden Lake Christian Church officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. December 19 at the Barden Funeral Home in Stanton.
